Male victims of sexual assault

Research survey

An important academic study has gone online to examine the sexual experiences and beliefs of men in the UK.

www.malesurvey.info is an online survey open to all male residents in the United Kingdom over the age of 16 years old. The research, undertaken by a postgraduate student at the University of Portsmouth hopes to increase our understanding of the rape and sexual assault of men as well as public perceptions regarding this crime. The survey can be accessed via the website www.malesurvey.info, which also displays relevant information and useful links. The researcher for www.malesurvey.info Mandy Stidard said, “The rape and sexual assault of males is an under reported and under researched crime. This survey gives all men, whether survivors of assault or not, an opportunity to share their experiences and beliefs.” The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete and is 100% confidential and anonymous.
